EWR Number Five, Still Alive Even Though Out Of Order

That's right. I can't count. Good thing I can still blog.

Welcome to the July 27, 2008 edition of Everything Worth Reading. This month features a variety of topics. As usual, good dang stuff in all of 'em.

Petteri presents More About My Wicked Grandpa... posted at My Grandpa.

Okay, this is strange but in a positive way.

Steve Anderson presents The Office Drone As Action Hero posted at Kwanzoo, saying, "Meta-escapism in movies."

Dude, watch Office Space.

amanda s presents Carrey and McCarthy's Crusade, Dangers of Vaccines posted at Startup Fiance, saying, "Here's a criticism of Carrey and McCarthy's anti-vaccine campaign."

Complete with scary picture of Jim Carrey. I didn't even realize it was him at first.

Dereck presents A guide for increasing your Creativity posted at I Will Not Die.

On my most recent job interview, the dean asked me where creativity comes from. Where the heck was this post back then? I got the job anyway, but this sure would have been helpful. Now it's helpful to anyone else interviewing with said dean, making this our POST OF THE MONTH!!!

Patrick A. Sizemore presents A Brief Analysis of Assumption and Intuition posted at College Information for Smart Students, saying, "What is the difference between assumption and intuition? Is intuition anything more than extraordinarily perceptive assumption?"

Patrick mentions Tennessee. I was just in Tennessee. Good state. Very clean.

Patricia Twitchell presents The Adventures of Penny Pincher: Penny Pincher Goes To The Rodeo… Finally posted at Just Bears and Stuff, saying, "The Adventures of Penny Pincher continue on as Penny Pinchers best friends get him all spruced up for the rodeo. Join in on the Adventures of Penny Pincher"

Alliteration rocks!

Toni presents Unspoken posted at Starlit Whispers, saying, "Those that go unspoken are more moving yet more painful when remained unsaid."

Here's a short piece of goodness.

Yvaine presents At the train station posted at Starlit Whispers, saying, "I love words. I love riding trains. I love watching people. And I love writing. Hence this mix of these four loves. I hope you enjoy it. And do be careful about who's watching you. ;-)"

Man, I friggin almost fell off the chair at "unsanitary." Read it and you'll find out what the heck I'm talking about.

christina seehusen presents I love... posted at christina, saying, "humorous post about love for my dishwasher."

I know, this may not sound like something you want to read--who writes about their dishwasher?--but really, you'll thank me after you do.

JennH presents The Wicker Chair posted at Mixed Metaphor.net, saying, "A fictional story about a woman beginning a new chapter of her life. Inspired by a writing prompt found at A Thousand Words (www dot 1000wordsmeme dot com)."

Jenn H does it again. Good publishable fiction. Agents, pay attention please.

AdmirableIndia.com presents Bangalore to Mysore on Bike: Day 1: Part 2: Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary, Brindavan gardens and Krishnarajasagara or KRS dam posted at AdmirableIndia.com.

I am such a sucker for this blog. Pretty pictures PLUS good writing.
